To cultivate a supportive community within the festival culture with unique resources dedicated to changing the stigma around mental health.
To challenge and empower ourselves and our peers and influence personal growth within. To redefine what it means to Be Brave.
BraveFam – A Peer to Peer Support Network for Ravers
For many of us, the festival culture has been our glimpse into what it means to be happy. We share these experiences together, feel the music, see the art, and feel connected. For a short while we feel actual joy. We feel relief from the pain that is with us once we arrive back in our normal lives.
But too often our friends, our family, and even ourselves are suffering, often in silence to the rising pandemic of mental illness. And too often one of us has chosen to give up and the world has had another tragic suicide to deal with. Anxiety, depression, addiction, grief, PTSD, and other mental illnesses are becoming more prevalent and we are losing too many lives. This is why we are here. You are not alone. You don’t have to pretend everything is OK. Your bravery in coming out about your struggles empowers others to do the same, and often inspires others to put in the work it takes to heal.
That’s why we are here. We are here for each other. We are here to bring PLUR into every aspect of our lives. We are here to LIVE. We are here for each other. We are here for you. We are Brave. We are family. We are BraveFam.
Provide support, get support, make friends, Be Brave. We want YOU to be a part of US!
